Kepler AI is a startup designed to help bars and pubs improve their public reviews using artificial intelligence. Positive customer feedback is automatically pushed to Google Reviews, while negative feedback is collected, analysed, and turned into actionable insights — helping businesses improve without hurting their reputation. The client approached me to help name and brand the company ahead of launch.
The client was entering a crowded space where most competitors had generic names tied directly to reviews. They needed a name and identity that would stand out, feel intelligent, and suggest a more refined approach. With no brand assets or product visuals yet in place, they needed just enough to launch with clarity and test the concept’s appeal.
The first breakthrough came with the name Kepler, inspired by NASA’s Kepler Space Telescope, which scans thousands of stars to identify patterns — a perfect metaphor for how the platform reads and analyses reviews. From there, I developed a clean and modern visual identity, an abstract icon, a tech-forward color palette, and brand typography. I also delivered art direction, a landing page design concept, and a concise brand book covering visual and tone foundations.
The sprint gave Kepler AI the tools to quickly launch a landing page and begin validating their idea with real users. The identity helped position them as a forward-thinking, data-led solution in a space often filled with cluttered, generic competitors. With a strong name, visuals, and messaging, they were able to begin testing desirability and traction with confidence.
